How much is my stuff worth?
I have a bran new Rossignol Myth board, brand new K2 Tryst bindings, and brand new Burton Coco boots. None of it has ever been used.
The board is worth 220
The bindings are worth 180
and the boots are worth 80
Could I sell them for full price, or would I have to mark it down because they're not in a store anymore?
Also, do you think a snow shop would buy my stuff? I need the money for a laptop for college.
Alex---- It's all brand new, never been used. I got it in december after christmas.
Put your gear on craigslist or ebay and see what you can get. I would guess $250-300, snowboard season is pretty much over. If you weren't going to use it, you should have taken it back at Christmas for full price. There are no manufacturer warranties for 2nd owners; so anyone that buys your stuff will lose that benefit. All the shops are trying to sell their current stock of '09-10 model year equip, they probably won't want your gear, because what they pay for brand new gear from the supplier is about half of what they sell it for. In CO where I live, most of the brand new stuff with warranty is on sale 25-45% off regular price. Selling your stuff means the buyer needs the exact size board, boots and bindings so that combo makes it hard to get even 50% of new. Plus you are competing with all the stuff that is almost new '08-10 that is selling for 50-75% off...
